چکیده

Abstract We show that self-similar measures on $\mathbb R^d$ satisfying the weak separation condition are uniformly scaling. Our approach combines elementary ergodic theory with geometric analysis of structure given by condition.

Multifractal formalism for self-similar measures with weak separation condition

For any self-similar measure μ on R satisfying the weak separation condition, we show that there exists an open ball U0 with μ(U0) > 0 such that the distribution of μ, restricted on U0, is controlled by the products of a family of non-negative matrices, and hence μ|U0 satisfies a kind of quasi-product property. Furthermore, the multifractal formalism for μ|U0 is valid on the whole range of dime...

Multifractal Measures and a Weak Separation Condition

We define a new separation property on the family of contractive similitudes that allows certain overlappings. This property is weaker than the open set condition of Hutchinson. It includes the well-known class of infinite Bernoulli convolutions associated with the P.V. numbers and the solutions of the two-scale dilation equations. Our main purpose in this paper is to prove the multifractal for...

Self-Similar Measures for Quasicrystals

We study self-similar measures of Hutchinson type, defined by compact families of contractions, both in a single and multi-component setting. The results are applied in the context of general model sets to infer, via a generalized version of Weyl’s Theorem on uniform distribution, the existence of invariant measures for families of self-similarities of regular model sets.

Self-Similar Solutions for Weak Shock Reflection

We present numerical solutions of a two-dimensional Riemann problem for the unsteady transonic small disturbance equations that provides an asymptotic description of the Mach reflection of weak shock waves. We develop a new numerical scheme to solve the equations in selfsimilar coordinates and use local grid refinement to resolve the solution in the reflection region. The solutions contain a re...
